Quite the Little Gentleman!

Our three-year-old son, Aidan, had his little "girlfriend" over to play the other day. David came home with pizza, and as we were sitting down to eat lunch, Aidan thought he would place his order. "Vanessa and I would like pepperoni please." Not only was he ordering for his "date", but he totally used proper English - "Vanessa and I". It was so cute. The first time he met Vanessa at the park, a year or so ago, he said to her, "Are you brown?" to which her reply was, "I'm Mexican!" "I'm white", Aidan continued, "You look like chocolate, but I won't eat you." He's an observant little guy. We have to watch ourselves around him. Gotta love him!

Water Baby

Jolie loves the water! A few weeks ago we took her to the pool for the first time. She had so much fun playing in the little fountains that shoot up out of the ground.
We had to lather her with sunblock since she's such a whitey like her mom. She loves taking baths and putting her face in the water, but she hadn't ever been in COLD water before. I guess this doesn't count because the pool at the YMCA is heated, but we'll just take baby steps.

Daddy's Greeting

"I'm so glad when Daddy comes home! Glad as I can be! Clap my hands, and shout for joy, and climb upon his knee. Wrap my arms around his neck, hug him tight like this. Pat his cheek and give him what?... A GREAT BIG KISS!!" This is the greeting David gets after a long day of hard work. As soon as we hear the garage door opening, the big kids race to the door to see who can hug Dad first, our dog, Eddie, gets so excited, sometimes he even pees a little, and our baby, Jolie, flaps her arms up and down and squeals with excitement. I have to just stand back and wait for the dust to clear before I get my turn. We are all so glad when Daddy comes home. I am so grateful for my husband, David, who is such a hard worker, and does whatever it takes so I am able to be at home with our small children.

Stalkable!

I have finally decided to join the blogging world! I figured that being a "blog-stalker" myself, it would only be fair for me to create my own blog so you can stalk me back, so stalk away! I'm STALKABLE! Not that I have anything stalk-worthy going on in my life, I have just been so impressed with everyone else's blogs that you have inspired me to start recording the lives of my own family. I won't be able to compete with all you super-bloggers out there. I'm pretty computer-illiterate, I don't have a state-of-the-art camera that takes beautiful, professional photos, and we don't go on lavish vacations, but as the title of this blog states, I will be recording the Sweet Simplicity of our little family.
